Protein Rich, Refreshing Sattu Recipe To Beat The Heat By Shilpa Shetty

As summers are arriving and it is important to remain hydrated to beat the warmth during summers. As the season is arriving, we are having beverages that keep us hydrated, one among which is Sattu drink that not only quenches the thirst but protects you from the warmth. And Shilpa Shetty has shown us the way to prepare a delicious sattu drink which may be a very fashionable beverage of Bihar.

Shilpa Shetty shared the recipe video on her social media account during which she shows the way to make the drink and tells us about its health benefits. “I recommend this for those that are constantly on the go, understanding or have weight loss issues. Sattu is an age-old potent drink that’s all natural with high fiber and protein, loaded with iron and magnesium,” Shilpa said within the video.

Sattu is essentially powdered roasted gram or chana. Sometimes it’s even made with roasted maize or jowar mixed with roasted gram. it’s a dry powder which may be prepared in various ways. Sattu is understood for its cooling properties that are quite beneficial in summers. to form this health drink you would like, 3 tbsp sattu, 1/2 tsp amchur powder, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 2 or 3 chopped mint leaves, coriander leaves chopped, pink salt as per taste, 1/2 juice, 1 glass water, ice as needed, coconut sugar (a pinch, optional), 1/2 green chilli chopped. Add all ingredients within the blender apart from green chilli and blend. Then add green chilli and stir with a spoon. Pour into a serving glass or Mason jar and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve.
