Try These Easy Breezy Home Made Summer Yogurt Based Drinks

There is no better way to beat the summer heat than chilled and refreshing drinks. And what’s better than Yogurt Based Drinks, which are not only sooting but also provide respite to the body. So, if you are craving for smoothies, here we have shared the recipe of some quick and easy drinks that will help your body to cool down in the heat.

Preparation Time: 15 mins

Cooking Time: 5 mins

Serves: 4


1 cup – Curd

2 cups – Water

3 tbsp – Mint leaves

3 tbsp – Coriander Leaves

1 tsp – Roasted cumin powder

1 tsp – Ginger, chopped

1/4 tsp – Black Salt

Salt to taste

For tempering

2 tsp – Oil

1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds

1/2 tsp – Green chili paste

For smoke

1 – Coal piece

Few curry leaves

2 – Cloves

1 tsp – Oil


*Combine, curd, mint leaves, coriander leaves, cumin powder, ginger, black salt, salt in a blender with 2 cups of water.

*Heat oil in a pan and add some cumin seeds and green chili paste. Saute it for a few seconds and add chaas to it and mix it well.

*Now pour it in a large bowl, and take heated coal and keep in the bowl inside the large bowl.

*Add some curry leaves and clove to the coal bowl and pour oil over the hot coal and cover it with an aluminum foil.

*Let the smoke of coal get inside the chaas, later remove it and serve in glasses.

*A delicious chaas is all ready to drink.

Gulkhand Lassi

3 cups – Yogurt

2 tbsp – Rose syrup

1/2 tsp – Green cardamom powder

1 tbsp – Powdered sugar

2 tbsp – Gulkand

Few drops – Rose essence

5-6 – Ice cubes

1 tsp – Malai for garnish

1 tsp – Pistachios


*Take yogurt, rose syrup, green cardamom powder, powdered sugar, gulkand, rose essence and ice cubes in a blender and blend it till smooth.
*Pour it in a tall glass and add malai to it.
*Garnish it with rose syrup, rose petals and pistachios and Enjoy!
